Triple Crown Media, Inc. (TCMI) operates a newspaper publishing business. TCMI’s newspaper publishing business consists of six daily newspapers and one weekly newspaper that emphasize coverage of local news and local sports. The seven newspapers have a total circulation of 109,000 daily, 140,479 Sunday, and an additional 4,100 weekly. TCMI was created in December 2005 with the spin-off of the newspaper publishing and wireless businesses from Gray Television, Inc. and subsequent acquisition through merger of Bull Run Corporation. Triple Crown Media, Inc. sold its wireless business, GrayLink, LLC, in June 2007, and its collegiate marketing business, Host Communications, Inc., in Nov. 2007.
